- Marco Silva has already said why Kenny Tete will be a great addition for Everton
Everton look set to sign Fulham defender Kenny Tete - and it is a deal that may just make sense.
David Moyes has been searching for a new right-back all summer to try and solve a key issue.
The Blues tried to sign Tete last summer, but he had a change of heart and signed a new contract with the West London side.

It appears that the move is back on now, as the Toffees have reportedly agreed personal terms with the defender.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium outfit have pivoted back to the 30-year-old as they look to end their hunt for the problem position, and it makes perfect sense.

What do the numbers say about Everton-linked Kenny Tete
Tete has not featured yet in the Premier League this season, so we have to base judgement off his 2025-26 season.

That campaign suggests that it would be brilliant if Tete does put pen to paper with Everton .
He played 22 times in the division, averaging 0.80 shots and creating 0.55 chances, per FotMob data.
The Frenchman completed 7.42 line-breaking passes and 38.2 per cent of his crossing attempts.
That suggests that he will help the Blues to progress the ball and his deliveries are solid when he gets into attacking positions.
Defensively, he averaged 8.33 contributions per game, with 3.26 tackles, 4.11 recoveries and 3.41 clearances.
In terms of duels, he won 60.1 per cent on the ground and exactly 60 per cent in the air.

Those numbers will excite Moyes, as he can clearly have the required impact when the Merseysiders do not have the ball.
Everything we know as Everton agreement reached with right-back Kenny Tete What has Marco Silva said about Everton target Tete?
Marco Silva managed the Blues between 2018 and 2019, before he was sacked in December 2019.
He has managed Tete for a total of 120 matches in him time at Craven Cottage, before leaving for Benfica at the end of last season.
Silva has already told the Toffees what they would be getting from the veteran if they signed him

The supporters may not trust Silva after his poor record on Merseyside, but his stint with the Londoners was brilliant, and he knows Tete better than most.
His assessment of the player seems to be spot on based on his data from last season.
