Energy Moment of the Matchday 31: Marcus Caldeira
Did Marcus Caldeira score the goal of the season for Minnesota United FC ?
The Canadian international striker completed a miracle 3-2 comeback win against St. Louis CITY SC on Saturday, netting the dramatic game-winner at Allianz Field that also earned him Energy Moment of the Matchday presented by Celsiushonors for Matchday 31.
Down two goals at home against the league's hottest team, the Loons fought back with three unanswered goals from Aziel Jackson , Kelvin Yeboah and Caldeira, the latter finishing off an epic breakaway in the 86th minute.
The miracle win halted St. Louis CITY's unbeaten league streak at 19 games, one shy of setting a new MLS record.
It also gave Minnesota their first home win since April and a glimmer of hope in making the Audi 2026 MLS Cup Playoffs. With four regular-season games remaining, the Loons have 34 points – five back of the Western Conference's ninth and final playoff spot.
Caldeira and the Loons continue their late-season push on Saturday at Houston Dynamo FC (8:30 pm ET | Apple TV ).
