The Seattle Mariners made a flurry of roster moves Monday as newly acquired players began reporting to the club. General manager Justin Hollander announced that outfielder Taylor Ward, acquired from the Baltimore Orioles , and right-hander Seranthony Dominguez, acquired from the Chicago White Sox , both reported to the team.
Seattle also reinstated infielder-outfielder Brendan Donovan from the 10-day injured list, recalled catcher Jhonny Pereda from Triple-A Tacoma, and made room on the roster by releasing catcher Mitch Garver and outfielder Rob Refsnyder while designating outfielder Stuart Fairchild for assignment.
Ward headlines the additions after Seattle sent right-hander Alex Hoppe and minor league right-handers Brock Moore and Harrison Kreiling to Baltimore in the deal. The 32-year-old has appeared in 111 games this season, batting .246 with 20 doubles, seven home runs, and an American League-leading 87 walks, while ranking sixth in the league in on-base percentage.

He is coming off a 2025 campaign that included career highs in home runs, doubles, RBI, and slugging percentage.
Dominguez arrived in a separate trade that sent right-hander Luis Castillo to the White Sox , with Seattle also receiving minor league catcher Boston Smith, minor league outfielder Nolan Jones , and cash considerations.
The 31-year-old has posted a 4.10 ERA with 12 saves and 45 strikeouts across 42 appearances this season and remains under contract through 2027.
Donovan's return gives Seattle back a versatile piece who has battled injury for much of the year. The 29-year-old, acquired from St. Louis in a three-team trade with Tampa Bay back in February, has dealt with two separate groin strains this season but is batting .274 with a .839 OPS in 25 games when healthy.
He won a Gold Glove in 2022 and made the NL All-Star team in 2025 during his four seasons with the Cardinals .
With the moves finalized, Seattle's active roster sits at a full 26 players, and its 40-man roster now stands at 36, as the Mariners look to reshape their roster down the stretch of the season.
