Things have gone from bad to worse for the Baltimore Ravens in quick time. After a ton of hype around Jesse Minter's hiring and a 3-1 start, the situation has quickly dissolved into a 4-4 record, with Lamar Jackson getting injured twice.
With the two-time MVP quarterback expected to go on the injured reserve list, star cornerback Marlon Humphrey took issue with the negativity coming from Baltimore's own fan base. However, a podcaster covering the Ravens was less than thrilled about the veteran's comments.

Rocco DiSangro Calls Out Marlon Humphrey Over Belittling Ravens Fans
The entire situation came out after the Ravens' 36-10 blowout at the hands of the Buffalo Bills. The fan base turned critical of the team's performances, with Baltimore extending its losing streak to three games.
That reaction appears to have frustrated Humphrey. He claimed that their fans were always "freaking out," even recalling a time when a particular fan complained to him after they "almost lost."
However, prominent Ravens podcaster Rocco DiSangro wasn't too thrilled with the superstar cornerback.

"To point fingers at the fans is just so tone deaf," DiSangro said
while making an appearance on "The Ryan Ripken Show" on YouTube. "They pay good money to watch you play, and they support, and they root for you."

"At the end of the day, these are some of the most passionate people in the world. And while sometimes, sometimes overreactions happen, but typically they call a spade a spade, and they could see it from a mile away," he continued.
While the problems on the offensive side of the football have been undeniable with their quarterback situation, the defensive woes have been harder to explain.

Despite the personnel and a new, defensive-minded head coach, the team hasn't been able to string together stops consistently. Humphrey, who is on a five-year contract worth $97.5 million, ranks No. 70 in PFN's Cornerback Impact Score
with a grade of 71.6.
As a result, DiSangro believes Humphrey has also been a factor in the team's problems, with the team ranking 18th on PFN's Defense Impact Grade
.
"So I think right now, Marlon Humphrey should be the last person talking about the fans and what they're doing and how they're rooting or not rooting for you. It's like, 'Go out and play [expletive] football, dude, and earn your money, your $90 million that you're making.'"
Going a step further, he added, "Play like it, act like it, be a leader in the locker room, be the leader that the team needs you to be."

With both Jackson and Huntley sidelined, the Ravens are finalizing a trade for Arizona Cardinals veteran quarterback Jacoby Brissett. However, Joe Fagnano is expected to start Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with the Brissett deal not expected to be completed until the weekend.
It remains to be seen whether adding Brissett would be enough to keep the Ravens stable for the time being. But with Jackson expected to miss an extended period, there is a good chance they miss the playoffs for the second consecutive year, especially if the defense can't right itself.
