Kelly Staffordis frustrated with the Los Angeles Rams ' 2026 NFL schedule.
The wife of the Rams' starting quarterback, Matthew Stafford , took to her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, November 3 , to call out the NFL after scheduling the team for a game the night before Thanksgiving, which results in a shortened bye week for them.
"Just curious to hear the thought process behind making the Rams the only team in the NFL without a true bye week," Kelly, 37, wrote. "Because damn, after 18 years around this league, even I need a week off during the season … and I have never played a single snap."
NFL teams typically get a bye week that lasts 13 days so players can take time off and rest their bodies, but the Rams will only be given 10 days this season before hitting the field on Thanksgiving Eve to play the Green Bay Packers, the NFL's bye week schedule notes.
"Anyway, feel free to leave that explanation right here…," Kelly added.

While the Rams will have a shortened bye week, the Packers will receive some extended time off, per the Packers' official schedule . Green Bay will go straight into its bye week after the Thanksgiving Eve game and won't take the field again until December 6.
Kelly's frustrations come as ESPN Senior NFL Insider Adam Schefter released a log that placed the Rams as the second-most-traveled team this season, traveling a total of 34,847 miles for game play. They trail just behind their NFC West rivals, the San Francisco 49ers , who will travel 38,105 miles in the 2026 season.
As for why the Rams and 49ers are at the top of the list, their September 10 game in Melbourne, Australia, definitely played a part, with the NFL hosting several international games this season.
Although the NFL has yet to respond to Kelly's post, her gripes follow an inconsistent season for the Rams, with the New York Post reporting that the team has been bouncing between home and road games — near and far — while dealing with a string of short turnarounds.

After back-to-back road matchups against the Denver Broncos and Philadelphia Eagles in October, they played another Monday night home game against the Buffalo Bills on October 12, before facing an uneven stretch of rest days and travel.
According to the Rams' official 2026 schedule , after their Thanksgiving Eve game against the Packers, the Rams will have eight days off and will have to play the Kansas City Chiefs on Thursday, December 3. They will then have back-to-back Sunday games, first in San Francisco against the 49ers, and then at home, where they'll face the Dallas Cowboys , before hitting the road again to play the Seattle Seahawks .
After Seattle, the Rams will travel to Florida to play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then finish the season at home with another Seahawks matchup.
