The Dallas Cowboys are 3-5 with eight days left before the trade deadline, and fans answering talk of a Maxx Crosby deal want no part of it.
CBS senior NFL analyst Pete Prisco put the idea simply, but fans who replied to him didn't agree at all after the Cowboys lost 33-30 in overtime to the Arizona Cardinals at AT&T Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Fans Tell Pete Prisco the Dallas Cowboys Should Not Be Buyers
Prisco may have floated the Crosby trade, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Sunday morning, citing league sources, that the Raiders currently have no plans to trade Crosby.
On the show, Priscosaid,"I would call the Raiders about Maxx Crosby… They have enough talent on offense to be good on offense. A guy like Crosby, and they had sacks today, so I'm not going to say they didn't, but a guy like Crosby is a game changer who can, you know, when you're trying to keep Gardner Minshew from going down the field, he puts him on his back."
"When you're ahead in the fourth quarter and Gardner Minshew's trying to drive to the game, which should have been a game-winning touchdown if they didn't miss the extra point, Maxx Crosby puts him on his back. That's the difference," Prisco added.

One fan, answering Prisco, skipped the Crosby question entirely: "The Cowboys are done. They should be selling."
Another fanwent a step further and looked ahead to the draft: "Cowboys' season is over. Lose out. Fire everyone. Have a better pick."
Even at 3-5, Dallas sits second in the NFC East. A third fan framed it as a matter of direction rather than a question about Crosby: "The Cowboys should be sellers, not buyers."
Draft Capital and Coaching Fuel Case Against Maxx Crosby Trade
Other fans questioned the idea that one player could make much of a difference for a team that has lost five of its eight games. Addressing Prisco directly, another fan wrote: "One player can't fix the issues that this team has. All you're doing is giving up what little capital you have left."
Dallas has already sent a 2028 second-round pick and a 2027 sixth-round pick to the Pittsburgh Steelers for cornerback Joey Porter Jr.
The Raiders set a far steeper price in the offseason. The Cowboys made multiple offers for Crosby, but Las Vegas wanted two first-round picks. Baltimore agreed to that price before the deal fell apart after Crosby's physical raised concerns about his knee.
One more fan was blunter: "Crosby isn't fixing this circus."
Coaching drew some of the blame, too. "We are not one player from competing. Our coach lost that locker room weeks ago," another fanwrote.

A different fan tied the two complaints together: "Crosby (doesn't) change bad coaching."
Crosby's own wishes also run counter to Prisco's idea. He publicly questioned his future in Las Vegas last season, but now wants to stay, Schefter reported.
"Maxx absolutely does not want to leave Las Vegas under any circumstances. His hope, though not in his full control, is that he remains a Raider for life," one source told ESPN.
The Raiders are 4-4 and third in the AFC West, and any call to Las Vegas, from Dallas or anyone else, would have to come before 4 p.m. ET on November 10, when trades are due.
