FS1 analyst Danny Parkins suggested Las Vegas pass rusher Maxx Crosby could be the target for Dallas. Acquiring Crosby at a potential trade discount would fill a critical defensive void left by Micah Parsons' exit for the team.

The Cowboys created more than $30 million in cap space after restructuring DaRon Bland and Jake Ferguson's contracts. Dallas was already under the salary cap, so the move raised questions about the team's next target.
Speaking on First Things First, Danny Parkins floated the idea that the cap management had been carried out to land a new player, and it could be Maxx Crosby.
"I think Maxx Crosby's going to be a Cowboy," Parkins said . "Restructuring DaRon Bland and Jake Ferguson's deals to get them this money… means that this team is the most talented team they should have for a few years," Parkins added . "That's the exact situation to mortgage a little bit of the future, like trade a draft pick to go get a player."

Parkins also pointed to Jerry Jones' son Stephen Jones' comment that keeping George Pickens could become difficult. If Dallas expects this roster to change soon, the current team may be its best chance to make a serious playoff push. The Cowboys have added defenders in the draft, but they still need a proven pass rusher after trading away Micah Parsons last year.

Parkins believes September will give other teams a chance to judge Crosby's health and production before the trade deadline.
Dallas Cowboys could find a lower Maxx Crosby price
Las Vegas reportedly wanted two first-round picks for Crosby during the offseason. A deal with Baltimore did not happen, and Parkins believes that failed trade could affect the asking price later.
"If Maxx Crosby is fine this year, it's not going to be two first-round picks," Parkins explained in the same discussion. "What if it's two second-round picks? What if it's one first-round pick and Dallas can get Maxx Crosby on a discount?"

Dallas' recent contract restructures give the team more room. The Cowboys' latest roster discussion also shows why the front office may keep looking for defensive help. Crosby must first stay healthy and play well in September.
