Men’s basketball: St. Thomas lands commit from DePaul forward transfer

St. Thomas landed a commitment Thursday from Jeremy Lorenz , a transfer forward from DePaul .

Lorenz has three years of college experience. He played his first two seasons for Wofford, starting 12 games as a sophomore. He averaged eight points and 3.8 rebounds for the Terriers including a 12-point showing against Tennessee in the NCAA Tournament.

Lorenz averaged 10 minutes per game in nine contests for DePaul last season before his campaign was cut short by a hip injury.

The 6-foot-8 forward is a Brillion, Wisconsin native.

St. Thomas lost its top three scorers to the transfer portal, including leading scorer Nolan Minessale, who committed to Marquette this week. Ben Oosterbaan , the Tommies’ fifth-leading scorer from last season, also reportedly entered the portal this week.
