Recently inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame class of 2025, Dwight Howard
had indeed cemented his legacy in NBA history. Amid all the celebrations and flurry of emotions, the Orlando Magic
veteran has been dealing with certain personal issues behind the scenes.
It had not even been six months into their marriage, and Dwight's wife, Amber Rose, was seeking a divorce. The two went public with their relationship for the first time in December 2024 and were married the following month. Then, all of a sudden, in July 2025, TMZ broke the news
that they were getting a divorce.

"The marriage is irretrievably broken. There are no prospects for reconciliation,"
Rose wrote in her docs.
The report further elaborated on the rapper and reality TV star seeking alimony and equitable distribution of marital assets and property. Nevertheless, barely a few months into the divorce proceedings, there appeared to be a reconciliation on the cards from both ends.
Giving their marriage another shot
Back in September, the couple turned heads when they appeared together for the premiere of Dwight's new reality show, Inside the USA. Fueling further speculation that they were reviving their marriage was the former champion with the Los Angeles Lakers
, who posted a carousel of photos of them together.

The caption of the Instagram post was another indication that Dwight and Amber had reunited, with the NBA veteran even engaging with fans, asking them to pick their favorite picture. Tagging the Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta Fame, Howard wrote, "I'm crazy bout you."
Rose was quick to respond, posting, "I just love you."
Strangely enough, she never understood how their separation went public in the first place.
"Although it is true, I am not sure how it got out to the public. Still wrapping my head around a lot. Although I know it won't happen, I hope the public can give us grace and privacy right now,"
said the hip hop artist back when she had just filed for divorce.

Hopefully, things remain stable between Howard and Rose in the future, given their relationship has been nothing short of a rollercoaster. Not to mention that Dwight's past relationships have been rather controversial, having fathered five children along the course as well.
Instable past
Howard had his first child and eldest son, Braylon, with Royce Reed. Sadly, things didn't work out between them, and the matter even reached court, with the four-time Defensive Player of the Year suing Reed for attempting to defame him and for breaching their NDA.

Dwight had his second child and eldest daughter, Layla, with Tiffany Render. The veteran center had three more children, each with a different partner. One can only imagine Howard struggling to balance his fatherly duties. Hopefully, unlike his previous relationships, he has a bright future ahead with Rose, who not long ago regretted filing for divorce.
Amber Rose, going by the stage name Amy Luician, had shared a three-minute clip on social media a while ago, discussing how she had met the love of her life and almost got divorced, calling herself stupid and silly.
"I met the love of my life and I almost divorced his a-- in six months... Let's talk about the struggles of being a new, young wife. First thing I can tell you as a new wife … shut your mouth. Shut up. I'm saying, pick your battles. And sometimes, pick them quietly. Understand: when you became one with your husband, that means you became one
."

Rose advocated peace, harmony, and working as one unit in her advice to young women. Their reunion is a positive update for both their fans, who wish to see the couple live a happy life ahead.
