The Mets are parting ways with Chris Devenski so they can bring in a fresh arm for the Subway Series.
With Devenski DFA'd, New York has recalled RHP Jack Weisenburgerfrom Triple-A.
Devenski struggled mightily during his second stint with the Mets , allowing nine runs and a pair of homers across just nine appearances (5.1 IP).

Weisenburger is back with the Mets for his second stint as well.
He pitched well making his big league debut earlier this season, putting together scoreless outings in two of his first three career appearances.
