The early returns for Luis Robert Jr. with the New York Mets have been exactly what fans were hoping for. Robert, who has all of the talent in the world to be the type of superstar who can completely change this Mets lineup, has been met with a lot of ups and downs throughout his career.

When Robert is at his best, there's a real argument that he's one of the more talented players in baseball. The problem is that he's dealt with many injuries and doesn't always play as well as he should.

However, there are some issues Mets fans will have to remember, as there is a good chance he'll struggle at some point.

Colin Keane of FanSided doesn't believe this hot start will last, and at some point, Mets fans will start booing him just like they did to Bo Bichette .

“Robert's hot start (featuring a walk-off!) is precisely what you'd expect from a guy who is going to fall off by May and be on the Injured List by June. After all, the tragedy of Robert's constant injuries wouldn't sting so much if he were just a pedestrian big leaguer. The fact that he has superstar talent is what makes his durability issues so bothersome.

“Right now, Robert has Mets fans swooning as he flashes his elite bat and athleticism. But this is the honeymoon phase of the Robert-Mets fan relationship. The greater he performs in March and April, the more severely he'll be booed when he fails to sustain things, whether through injury or general fatigue later in the season,” he wrote .

While I understand where he's coming from, and certainly don't disagree with it, because he can hit 75 home runs, and if he strikes out once in the playoffs, New York fans are probably going to boo him, a lot of what he said also goes to show why Mets fans can be very excited about the future of him in this organization.
