- Miami Dolphins Hire Fired Philadelphia Eagles Coach
Early on, it appeared the Miami Dolphins wouldn't make a head coaching change this offseason. Ultimately, they determined that they didn't want to move forward with Mike McDaniel either. The Dolphins also hired a new general manager too. They've been busy assembling the rest of the coaching staff around Jeff Hafley ever since.
On Thursday, Mike Garafolo of NFL Network revealed that the Dolphins have hired Kevin Patullo as their pass game coordinator. Patullo was recently initially demoted from offensive coordinator/playcaller from the Philadelphia Eagles , and he's since been replaced by Sean Mannion, who has no experience calling plays.

Though Patullo was expected to be reassigned to a different role on coach Nick Sirianni's staff. Evidently, he decided it would be best to move on from the Eagles altogether. This comes after a controversial season of Eagles fans calling for Patullo to be stripped of play-calling duties after the offense slipped from being seventh in scoring to 19th.
The 44-year-old started his NFL coaching career as an offensive assistant and quality control coach with the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2007. He moved on to the Buffalo Bills in a similar role in 2010. He took a year off in 2013 before popping back up with the Tennessee Titans in 2014 as their assistant wide receivers coach.
The New York Jets took a chance on Patullo as their quarterbacks coach in 2015. He spent a season with Texas A&M as a senior offensive analyst in 2017 before joining the Indianapolis Colts as their wide receivers coach in 2018.
In 2021, Patullo moved on to the Eagles as their pass game coordinator. He'd earn the title of associate head coach in 2023. Then, in 2025, after Kellen Moore accepted the job as the head coach of the New Orleans Saints , Sirianni promoted Patullo to offensive coordinator in Philadelphia, and the rest is history.

While Patullo seemingly wasn't the right fit in Philadelphia, Dolphins offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik is banking on him helping Miami in 2026.
