- Miguel Rojas Reflects on Dodgers Career Immediately After Retirement

Former Los Angeles Dodgers infielder Miguel Rojas, who retired after the team fell in the NLCS this season, spoke about the impact his time with the Dodgers had on him.
Rojas is currently serving as a correspondent at the World Series between the Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays, but also spared some time before the game to answer questions about himself.
"I told the players, the staff and the front office, not just thank you, they changed my life," Rojas said . "They got me the opportunity to come back home to LA where I made my debut 12 years ago in 2014 and having the opportunity to live the best four years of my life in baseball.
"It wasn't just for me, it was for my family, the people that I really care about. My son, they grabbed my son under their wing and they made growth with him. He was shagging balls in the outfield, he was living the dream. …That's what I told the guys, thank you for changing my life."
Rojas has sung the Dodgers' praises the entire year, especially following his retirement. After his last game, the veteran expressed his desire to continue serving the team after stepping away from the sport.
"I want to stay here," Rojas said . "I want to wear this uniform in a different capacity and continue to make the organization better."

Rojas made his debut with the Dodgers in 2014, but the team traded him after his rookie year in a big deal with the Miami Marlins—during which the team also acquired Kiké Hernandez and Austin Barnes.
He stayed with the Marlins for nearly a decade, but the Dodgers decided to bring him back to the team in 2023, sending a minor-league infielder the other way.
Through his 446 games with the team from 2023-26, Rojas hit 22 homers and drove in 117 RBIs for the Dodgers, also posting a .688 OPS and hitting the biggest home run of his life. He stepped up to the plate in Game 7 of the 2025 World Series and hit a solo home run in the top of the ninth to tie the game and swing the momentum in the Dodgers' favor as they went on to win their second consecutive World Series.
Rojas will forever be a Dodgers legend, and his constant praise of the organization shows how well the team treats their players.
