Junior guard Mila Holloway is out indefinitely due to a left lower-leg injury, the Michigan women's basketball program announced
via social media on Thursday afternoon.
A program spokesperson confirmed to Maize N Brew that Holloway did not tear her ACL, but did not release more details on the injury.

Holloway hasn't missed a game and started all 69 games across two seasons since she's joined the Wolverines. A two-year starter, Holloway is an All-Big Ten honorable mention who averaged 12.3 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.5 steals in 28.8 minutes per game.
Losing Holloway is a major blow. She is a key component to the Wolverines, a fierce face of the three-headed monster that is the three starting guards in the junior class, alongside Olivia Olson and Syla Swords.
"Mila is just elite," head coach Kim Barnes Arico said Dec. 7. "She really changes the tempo for us. She just finishes so well. I mean, her shooting percentages are off the charts right now. She's the one that makes us go in all facets of the game. She's a true difference maker, and when she comes out, locked in, ready to go, we're a completely different team."
Holloway's progression has been impressive to watch over her first two seasons. Her rebounding, field goal percentage, assists, steals and scoring metrics all increased while decreasing turnovers.

Her presence will be greatly missed until she returns, as she joins senior guard Macy Brown, who is also injured. Brown, Holloway's backup, tore her ACL during practice following Michigan's NCAA Tournament Round of 64 win.
The backcourt is thin without Holloway or Brown, but remains strong with junior guard Syla Swords or senior guard Dallas Loughridge, an addition from Australia
, likely running the point in Holloway's absence. Swords frequently stepped up as the facilitator when Holloway was on the bench during the 2025-26 season.
Looking at the Wolverines' projected starters in Holloway's absence and with former guard Brooke Quarles Daniels departing — first due to running out of eligibility, then the transfer portal to South Carolina
— it leaves Olson, Swords and senior forward Ashley Sofilkanich as returning starters.
Holloway's injury likely clears space for junior wing Te'Yala Delfosse to move into the starting lineup. Delfosse is a dynamic player who made major strides from her freshman to sophomore seasons, doubling her minutes and shooting 50.5 percent from the field, averaging 8.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 19.2 minutes per game while earning one start in the season. Delfosse stepped up in big ways during March Madness, and will be an important piece in the 2026-27 group. The starting lineup will likely be rounded out by junior forward Kendall Dudley or Stanford grad transfer forward Courtney Ogden
