What does the future hold for Mkhitaryanafter June? The Armenian midfielder, who turns 38 in January, had already considered retirement last summer before deciding to continue his adventure with Inter. His contract expires in 2027, and in the coming months he will have to decide whether to keep playing or hang up his boots. For now, his contribution remains valuable: his quality, tactical intelligence and reliability still make him an important option in the Nerazzurri's squad rotation.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , it is difficult to imagine him staying at Inter as a player beyond his current deal, but another path could open up. The Milan club could consider keeping him within the organisation in a different role. Mkhitaryan earns around €2 million net per seasonand had already spoken about the possibility of retiring last year, before signing an extension. No decision has been made yet, but his future could remain tied to the Nerazzurri even after his playing career ends.

Monza's 21-year-old Portuguese forward has already scored seven goals, surpassing even Lautaro Martinez and Marcus Thuram, and sporting director Giovanni Manna continues to monitor his development with potential future moves in mind. The young striker's talent and room for improvement make him an intriguing prospect for De Laurentiis's club, who could consider a move in upcoming transfer windows.
There is no shortage of competition, however: Ajax and PSV Eindhovenhave also sent scouts to watch the player, while Benfica, where Varela developed as a footballer, continue to follow his progress. Napoli and Monza, meanwhile, already have an established relationship in the transfer market, strengthened by deals involving Petagna, Zerbin, Popovic, Ngonge and Folorunsho in recent years. As reported by Il Mattino , Manna is ready to keep a close eye on the young striker's development as he makes an ever greater impact in the league.
