Milan Lose Saelemaekers and More Serie A Injury Updates
The extra-long first international break allowed some players to recover from injury, while others went down. The most notable one is Alexis Saelemaekers, who injured his ankle in training. The problem seemed minor at first, but the joint, where he already had surgery, is no longer stable. He'll visit a specialist, but a new operation is very likely. He'll miss three to four months if that's indeed the case, Mediaset reports.
Pervis Estupinan sustained a minor knee sprain, Sky informs. Napoli recovered Alex Meret, Leonardo Spinazzola, and Luca Marianucci but lost Mathias Olivera for a couple of weeks due to a hip strain and Costantino Favasuli for a month and a half because of a serious thigh issue. Scott McTominay 's physical has been moved to Wednesday, but there's major optimism there won't be any issues.

Moise Kean was spared from the last Italy match because of an ailment. He's questionable for the Roma clash after the break. Bryan Cristante withdrew from international duty because of a back injury, but he then picked up knee soreness that will sideline him for a little while. Albert Gudmundsson sprained his shoulder and will be shelved for about a month.
Bologna's Emil Holm will have to sit out most of the season after undergoing surgery to repair a torn thigh tendon. Bologna are expected to sign free agent Matteo Darmian to replace him. Udinese's Idrissa Gueye will be out for three months due to a severe ankle injury. Frosinone won't have two of their center-forwards for a little bit, as Antonio Raimondo is nursing Achilles tendonitis, while Daniel Birligea suffered a quad strain. Cagliari's Alessandro Deiola tore a meniscus.
