Milan in Touch with Zaniolo, Eye Manchester City Winger
The back-and-forth between Nicolò Zaniolo and Udinese continues, and Milan are waiting in the wings, but they are also contemplating a move for Phil Foden and pursuing a few talented youngsters, TuttoSport relays.
The Friulani thought they had appeased the attacker with a new contract. However, he wasn't pleased by some terms, the bonuses in particular. He's holding out, as he stayed on vacation and sent a medical certificate to justify his absence, while the team started practicing ahead of next season. The Bianconeri will try again to solve the issue, but it might not be long before they decide to move on and put him on the market.

If that happened, Milan would be ready to tender €15/20M for Zaniolo. His agent, Claudio Vigorelli, was recently spotted at their HQ. More Serie A outfits will join in if the 27-year-old forces his way out. Ruben Amorim would like to add a lefty attacker to have a better assortment of weapons .
Foden also fits the bill. He could leave for €50/60M if Manchester City added some high-end attackers. He's coming off a so-so season, as he tallied 10 goals and 7 assists in 50 matches, but faded in the last few months. Instead, the Rossoneri are presently trailing Borussia Dortmund and Atalanta for Konstantinos Karetsas and Kerim Alajbegovic , respectively.
Our Take on Milan Eyeing Zaniolo and Foden
The former is worth the risk only for a small fee, as he did have a strong year, but it was also an outlier, all in all. His attitude and consistency problems could resurface if he's not treated right. The Englishman is an ambitious target. We'll see whether they'll do anything before solving the Rafael Leao conundrum .
