With the Chicago White Sox showing that they can surge this season, there are fans and people in the baseball world who feel the team needs more experience. As the trade deadline approaches for the White Sox , this analyst throws a name that the team should go for to address that need.

Steve Phillips would speak on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM and would say that with other teams that could catch up to Chicago, which has experience, the ball club should at least trade for Boston Red Sox pitcher Aroldis Chapman .
"They have a total of 68 playoff games on their roster. The Guardians have over 300, the Tigers have over 200, and so that experience factor is something that they may need to address, as well as you get the deadline to get you through August and September," Phillips said.
"If they don't want to go big at the deadline, but just make a trade for Aroldis Chapman to be your closer, like that's okay, don't do anything else, just get Chapman at the end…I think you're going to win those games at the end there, but Chapman going to the White Sox to me feels like it's making a statement to support your team that you believe in them, but it's not going to necessarily cost you your top-flight blue-chip prospects in the organization," Phillips continued.
The biggest concern for the White Sox
When Phillips brought up the topic, he would answer the question about what is most concerning about the White Sox this season, saying that it's more so in the months of August and September, when teams are fortifying postseason spots.

"The dog days, the grind, where the league, the veterans have made adjustments, and could the young kids do it? And can the young kids push all the way through a season and finish a year?" Phillips asks.
At any rate, it remains to be seen if Chicago pursues Chapman, as the team is 45-41, putting them first in the AL Central.
