The Minnesota Vikings had plenty of holes to fill through the NFL Draft process over the weekend. They wound up with nine selections , and added another 19 undrafted free agents.
One key area they did not take a collegiate product during the Draft portion was at wide receiver. Jalen Nailor left for a payday with the Las Vegas Raiders . That leaves Tai Felton as the next man up on the depth chart, and he may not be ready to fill WR3 shoes.
Kyler Murray is going to want a full complement of pass catchers, and he already has plenty at his disposal. Adding Jauan Jennings would take things over the top, and Minnesota is considering it.

Jauan Jennings visiting Minnesota Vikings
There have been rumblings about a level of interest between the Minnesota Vikings and former San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Jauan Jennings. The dollars have to make sense, but insider Adam Schefter is reporting the veteran pass catcher will be in Minnesota the next two days.

Last season Jennings made $13.681 million with the 49ers. A seventh-round pick in 2020, he has made more than $24 million through the first five seasons of his career.
He has remained durable, playing at least 13 games every season, and 15 in all but one. Last year Jennings shouldered a greater load for San Francisco with Brandon Aiyuk consistently causing drama and being unavailable.
He hauled in 55 receptions for 643 yards and nine touchdowns. His 975 yards in 2024 were a career high, and he has scored 15 touchdowns the past two seasons.
Not only does Jennings raise the water level for Minnesota over Felton as the WR3, but he represents arguably the best remaining option on the open market.
Can MN Vikings get a Jennings deal done?
With Jennings getting into Minnesota on Tuesday, Schefter mentions the visit will be overnight in nature. That sounds like a level of courtship for the Vikings, and they will likely be hoping to put pen to paper on Wednesday.
Trading Jonathan Greenard created right around $16 million in cap space for Minnesota. They still have to sign their draft class, and have other needs to accommodate as well. Still, room for a third wide receiver that wants to play in this offense exists.
Nailor got roughly annually $12 million from the Raiders . Jennings has been seeking $20 million annually. Minnesota won't be meeting that second number, and even the first one would be quite rich for a third wideout. Jennings represents an upgrade over the departed talent though, and his addition could be a good way to reallocate funds.
