Aaron Jones played in only 12 games last season, taking 132 carries for 548 (4.2 YPC) yards and 2 touchdowns, while also grabbing 28 receptions for 199 yards and one more touchdown.
Over on defense, Javon Hargrave underwhelmed as one of Minnesota's key signings last offseason. In 16 games , Hargrave recorded 52 total tackles (18 solo), 3.5 sacks, 4 TFL, and 6 QB Hits. He also forced one fumble and recovering another. But overall, he wasn't worth the $15 million per season he signed for.

If post-dated for June 1, cutting Jones ( $11M ) and Hargrave ( $7.25M ) will save the Minnesota Vikings approximately $18.25 million total for 2026.
