David Moyes hopes Jarrad Branthwaite will be fit to feature for Everton against Coventry City on Friday night.
The defender was forced off late in Monday's 1-0 win over Newcastle United with cramp, but Moyes is optimistic he will recover in time for the game at Hill Dickinson Stadium.
"Yeah, we're just nursing him along a wee bit, just checking to see he's okay," Moyes said.
"So we need to see how he is, yes."
There was less positive news on Jack Grealish, who remains unavailable after being dropped for disciplinary reasons.
"Jack is not available," Moyes confirmed.
"I wouldn't give you the plan, but we will be working with Jack again soon."
