There are a number of Spartans that defensive coordinator Joe Rossi believes carry a high "football I."
Michigan State football has started fall preseason camp, with the Spartans holding their fourth practice on Monday. Following practice, Rossi caught up with the media where he shared some early insight into where things stand with the Spartans.

Among the takeaways from Rossi was a list of players in his mind that have a high football IQ. That listed consisted of...
-
Chuck Brantley
-
Brady Pretzlaff
It comes as no surprise that these players were signaled out by Rossi given the fact that all should contend for substantial playing time this fall. Of the players on this list, it's promising to see Brantley, Vaught and Richard all called out as newcomers to the program this season. Brantley, of course, was here before but left last offseason via the portal for Miami (FL).
