Patrick Mahomes per-game salary after new Chiefs contract
Underdog highlighted the scale of Mahomes' new salary by comparing his per-game earnings to Puka Nacua 's entire rookie deal.
Based on the reported $64 million yearly average over a 17-game regular season, Mahomes would make around $3.76 million per game.
That figure is higher than what some players make across several seasons, which is why the contract has become one of the most talked-about deals in the NFL.
The deal could reportedly rise to $522.25 million through incentives, with guarantee structures that push it even further into record territory.

Patrick Mahomes contract puts him above NFL rivals
The extension makes Mahomes the league's highest-paid player by annual average, ahead of fellow quarterbacks like Dak Prescott , Josh Allen , Joe Burrow and Trevor Lawrence .
Josh Allen is still the closest comparison when it comes to guaranteed money, but Mahomes' new deal is well ahead in terms of yearly value.
It is also a major signal from the Chiefs following a tough 2025 season, when Mahomes suffered a serious knee injury and they missed the playoffs.

The Chiefs are banking on 2025 being just a blip rather than the start of a decline. At nearly $3.76 million per regular-season game, they are paying Mahomes like their future still depends on him.
