The agreement also hands Napoli a set of bonuses, which would be triggered if the newly-promoted German side retain their Bundesliga status and if Lindstrom makes a certain number of appearances.

Jesper Lindstrom set for Schalke move from Napoli
Lindstrom is completing his medical in Germany, the final step before signing and an official announcement.
Schalke, who won promotion back to the top flight last season after a three-year absence, add an attacker capable of operating across the front line.

For Napoli, it is another piece of outgoing business as the club continues to trim Massimiliano Allegri's squad. Moving the Dane on frees up space and gives the Partenopei greater room to press ahead with their incoming transfer plans.
