- Natasha Cloud's Parting Message Sparks Request From Chicago Sky Fans
Natasha Cloud joined the Chicago Sky just a few days before the 2026 season started, signing a one-year, $555,000 deal . It proved to be a valuable addition for Chicago, as Cloud became a significant contributor to the team.
Cloud appeared in 40 games for the Sky, starting in 27. She averaged 11.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists and 1.1 steals. She led the team in steals, tied with Courtney Vandersloot in the category, and finished third in assists and fifth in both points and rebounds.

However, now that the Sky's season is over — with the team failing to make the playoffs with a 16-28 record — her future remains uncertain. Cloud is an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Recently, Cloud shared a post on social media, thanking the city of Chicago and the franchise for welcoming her. She also shared several photos of herself and her Sky teammates from throughout the season.
"Thank you Chicago -Big papi," Cloud wrote.

While Cloud's post could very well just be a parting message to the season and she's simply showing appreciation to the Sky for giving her an opportunity, many couldn't help but worry that she's leaving the team in free agency.
With that said, fans took to the comments section of the post to show some love to Cloud and urge her to re-sign with the Sky.
"Please don't go," a commenter wrote. Another one said, "Please come backkkkk. Thank you for your game, but even more for your positivity, integrity, and leadership. I admire you so much!"

"Thank you for giving me the celebration of a lifetime. It meant the world to me and I'm hoping, hoping, hoping that you'll be back next season!! Chi city looks too good on you, Peoples Papi," a supporter added.
A fan stated, "Nahhh Papi, need your energy back next season!"
"Please come back! We promise Chicago loves you even if the org needs some help," a follower shared.
A sixth poster noted, "Chicago loves you!!! Please come back papi!!!!"

Cloud should have more suitors in free agency, especially after the year she had. Plenty of contenders could use a veteran like her who has championship experience.
That said, Sky fans can only wait and hope that Cloud opts for some continuity with the Sky.
