The Super Bowl LX matchup is set after the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks won their respective conference championship games on Sunday. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye and Seahawks quarterback Sam Darnold led their teams to the big game after a wild 2025 NFL season that saw established stars like Patrick Mahomes and Lamar Jackson miss the playoffs.
On Feb. 8 at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, the NFL will crown a new champion. Last year's contestants, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles , failed to make it back to the Super Bowl. The path to a Seahawks-Patriots Super Bowl was not straightforward, but it is the exact matchup that former NFL wide receiver Nate Burleson predicted before the NFL playoffs began.

After playing 11 seasons in the NFL, Burleson launched his career in television on NFL Network in 2014. In 2021, he joined CBS to expand his work beyond sports. Burleson co-hosts "CBS Mornings" with Gayle King and Tony Dokoupil and is an Emmy winner as an NFL analyst on "The NFL Today."
On Jan. 8, Burleson made his picks for the entire NFL playoffs in a video posted by NFL on CBS on TikTok, which has over 1 million views. He correctly picked the No. 1 seed Seahawks to win the NFC championship and the No. 2 seed New England Patriots to make it out of the AFC.
"Oh, look at this," Burleson joked when he got down to the Patriots and Seahawks as his final two teams. "I feel like we've seen this movie before."
As Burleson decided on his champion, he forecasted a close game similar to the 28-24 outcome the last time they met in the Super Bowl in February 2015.
That game was famously decided by an interception on a pass thrown by Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson when they could have ran the ball with star running back Marshawn Lynch from the 2-yard line.
"They're going to do what Pete Caroll didn't do — hand that damn ball off to the running back," Burleson predicted. "Seahawks win."
If the Super Bowl outcome he predicted is as accurate as the rest of Burleson's playoff picks, fans should be in for another classic between the Patriots and the Seahawks on Feb. 8 at 6:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
