Notre Dame football gotten off to a great start with the 2028 recruiting class, with three commits already .
That number will grow soon, but the Irish will have to wait a bit for one of its top targets. On Tuesday that nation's top overall player in the 247Sports Composite , defensive tackle Kellan Hall, announced that he will make his commitment at the Under Armour All-American Game on Jan. 3, 2027.
The 6-foot, 4-inch and 265-pounder will make his choice between Kentucky , Georgia , Oklahoma , Ohio State , Tennessee and Notre Dame. Hall has taken multiple visits over the course of this season, although none of them have been to South Bend. The good news is that a visit is scheduled when the Irish host Miami according to Ryan Fravel .
It should be a great atmosphere, but it does seem like Notre Dame will have to make up some going. Hall has taken multiple visits to the in-state Wildcats this fall, and in recruiting you watch to see where players take trips too, and he's been there plenty.
Hopefully the Irish make a great, lasting impression on Hall, that continues over into January when he makes his decision.
