The Los Angeles Clippers have been dealt one of the biggest punishments in NBA history following the Kawhi Leonard scandal.
The Clippers were found guilty of circumventing salary cap rules when signing Leonard as a free agent in 2019.
They have lost five first-round draft picks (2029-2033) and received a $30 million fine, while owner Steve Ballmer has been suspended for a year.
NBA fans on social media have since shared an "incredible" idea for what should happen to the Clippers' vacant draft picks .

NBA fans want Adam Silver to consider NBA Cup idea for Clippers draft picks
An NBA fan on X has suggested that the Clippers' draft picks should be awarded to the winners of the NBA Cup.
This would solve two issues: teams would be more motivated to win the tournament and the draft would still have 30 first-round picks.
"Now this is a phenomenal idea," another fan said. "Anything that makes the midseason tournament have real stakes is a great idea."
One commented: "I love it. It also doesn't take away from a guaranteed first-round contract that would change a kid's life."
"This is a great idea. Gives the tournament something to play for and it keeps the first round the same amount of picks," a third replied.
Meanwhile, several other NBA fans describe the proposal as "incredible" and "fantastic".
However, some are sceptical that NBA commissioner Adam Silver will truly consider the one-of-a-kind NBA Cup incentive.
"This is such a great idea that I know Adam Silver wouldn't do… because it's a great idea," a critic replied.
