Betis are understood to be reluctantly willing to sell the Colombian this summer, as they bid to boost their own transfer budget.
Leeds are continuing to monitor Deossa with a view to making a move, but sources have indicated that it is currently an "open race" for his signature.
Ipswich Town have held a long-term interest in the star, while West Ham , Wolves and Hull City are also keen.
Deossa is one of several midfielders on Leeds' radar at the moment, as they aim to add the finishing touches to their squad.

Not only are the Whites running out of time before the end of the window, but the player is also on the radar of several other clubs in the Premier League.
Hull have been aggressive in the market in a bid to strengthen their squad, while West Ham and Wolves both view Deossa as a player who could help them earn an instant return to the Premier League.
Leeds are currently weighing up whether they should firm up their interest in the midfielder, who has no shortage of potential suitors.
The race for Deossa's signature is expected to come down to the offers that Betis receive, rather than a desire to sell to a particular club.

The Spanish side also know that moving Deossa would free up a non-EU space in their squad, allowing them to spend their money on an overseas replacement.
Sources: Leeds plan to accept Sebastiaan Bornauw offer after signing replacement Leeds plan to accept Sebastiaan Bornauw offer
Football Insiderrevealed on Tuesday that Leeds intend to accept an offer to sell centre-back Sebastiaan Bornauw this summer.
Hamburg have the Belgian firmly on their radar at the moment, and are prepared to give him the chance to return to the Bundesliga after just one year away.
Leeds are happy to lose the 27-year-old, but only once they can line up a repalcement for him in their squad.
Daniel Farke is set to continue operating with the back three formation that served his team well last term, and Bornauw is currently one of just four natural centre-backs in the group.
