Bobby Burack used Josh Jacobs ' reported arrest to take a sarcastic shot at the Jaxson Dart and Donald Trump controversy.
Burack was not really defending Jacobs. He was highlighting what he sees as a double standard in how the media covers political controversy versus serious legal issues.
That is why one quick comment turned a Packers legal story into another argument about Dart's divisive Trump appearance.

In a recent Bobby Burack X post , the NFL analyst reacted to news of Jacobs' arrest with a short, pointed remark.
"At least he didn't introduce Trump," Burack tweeted.
The sarcasm was clear. Jacobs had been arrested and booked on five charges following a domestic disturbance investigation, including strangulation and suffocation, battery/domestic abuse of a victim.
Jacobs has denied the allegations through his legal team, and the Packers issued a brief statement saying they were aware of the matter but would not comment further because it is an ongoing legal situation.
Burack's point was that an arrest involving serious allegations should be treated as far more important than a player appearing at a political event.
Dart's backlash began after the Giants quarterback introduced Trump at a New York event, used "Big Blue" language, and became part of a political moment that quickly split NFL fans.
That is the context behind Burack's comment. He was suggesting that some people in the NFL treated Dart's political appearance as a bigger character issue than more serious allegations elsewhere in the league.
It was not meant to downplay the Jacobs case. If anything, the comparison only works because the allegations against Jacobs are significant. The point was to highlight how sports media outrage can sometimes appear politically selective, especially when Trump is involved.
For Dart, Burack's jab keeps the spotlight on his rally appearance. For Jacobs, the legal process is the much bigger issue, regardless of how it is being used in media debates.
