The Arizona Cardinals made official a roster move that was previously reported. They officially signed tight end Kenny Yeboah . To make room for Yeboah on the roster, they released linebacker Stephen Dix Jr., an undrafted rookie they signed this offseason.

In four seasons from 2021-2024 with the Jets, where he would have known Cardinals head coach Mike LaFleur, who was the Jets' offensive coordinator in 2021-2022.
In four seasons, he appeared in 33 games, starting twice. He had nine receptions for 111 yards. He also played 610 snaps on special teams in those 33 games. Last season, he signed with the Detroit Lions , got hurt in August, was placed on injured reserve and then released with an injury settlement in November.
He participated in rookie minicamp as a tryout player last month with the Kansas City Chiefs .
He joins a tight end room that includes:
-
Jameson Geers
His experience in LaFleur's offense and on special teams (Cardinals special teams coach Michael Ghobrial was the Jets' assistant special teams coach from 2021-2023) makes him an intriguing possibility for a third or fourth tight end on the roster.
