The Atlanta Falcons have made a very popular choice with their Day 2 selection in the 2026 NFL Draft, taking Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch with the 79th overall pick in the third round. After taking a hit at the wide receiver position this offseason, Atlanta went right down the road to Athens to select a good one in Branch.
The Bulldogs standout is one of the most dynamic wideouts in the 2026 class and should contribute right away for the team next season. Branch had 811 receiving yards and six touchdowns at Georgia in 2025. Atlanta added Clemson cornerback Avieon Terrell in Round 2 and now Branch fills arguably the biggest hole on the roster.
As expected, most Falcons fans were thrilled to see the team make another sensible pick under GM Ian Cunningham.
