Notre Dame hoops rumors: Visitor confirmed, Burton trending to Big 12
It was an interesting first official day of the transfer portal window for Notre Dame basketball, as it was reported earlier that Jalen Haralson has been chatting with a Big Ten team .
There were more rumors than where the former 5-star will land, and it starts off with guard Markus Burton. After three seasons in South Bend, he’s opted to leave his home, growing up just outside where he previously played. College Basketball Content shared on social media that Burton will be visiting Houston later this week .
Some good news happened as well, as On3’s Jamie Shaw is reporting (subscription required) that Notre Dame will host Wright State combo guard Michael Cooper for a visit this coming weekend. The Indiana native just completed his freshman season where he averaged 13.4-points, 2.7-rebounds, and 2.2-assists while shooting 44.3% from the field. Cooper has good size for the position at 6-foot, 3-inches and 185-pounds, and would be a great addition to the vacant Irish roster.
