Nottingham Forest have major concerns about Liam Delap's form as their lack of goals has piled pressure on Oliver Glasner.
The 23-year-old has scored just one goal in seven Premier League games this season, and drew a blank again during the 1-1 draw against his former club Ipswich Town last time out.
Nottingham Forest have now won just one of their eight league games so far this season, and have dropped to 18th in the table, largely due to their issues in front of goal.
Former Man United chief scout Mick Brown told Football Insiderthat Nottingham Forest's lack of goals means they cannot win games, which ultimately will cost Glasner his job.
While the boss still has the backing of the board and the majority of fans inside the City Ground, it will ultimately fall back on him if his side fails to turn their form around.
Delap is at the centre of those concerns, with his lack of goals underlining the team's struggles, and there have been calls for him to step up amid the growing pressure.
Why are Nottingham Forest concerned about Liam Delap?
Brown told Football Insideron 13 October that Nottingham Forest have been worried about Delap's performances since his arrival given the money spent to bring him in.
The lack of a consistent threat in front of goal is nothing new at the City Ground, leading them to spend £50million on signing the striker from Chelsea to resolve their issues.
However, his struggles in the early stages of the season have only led to more concerns, and should he fail to turn his form around, it may ultimately cost Glasner.
"Everybody knows Nottingham Forest's big problem is with scoring goals," Brown told Football Insider.
"That is nothing new, it's been a problem for them since the start of last season, and they haven't done anything to resolve that because Delap cannot be the answer to their prayers.
"Forest will have major concerns about Delap, in fact, because when you spend £50million on a new stiker, the least you expect is for him to find the net regularly.
"And the big problem is, if Nottingham Forest can't score goals, they're not going to win games, and if they're not winning games, the finger will be pointed at the manager.
"There have been plenty of positives for Glasner to take at Forest, and he is still being backed to succeed, but there is no doubt results have got to improve quickly.
"Ultimately, it comes down to the fact they're creating plenty but not scoring often enough, that is the fault of the players like Delap, but the manager will get the blame."

Doubts about Glasner's position at Nottingham Forest have begun to emerge as a result of their poor start to the season, with one win from eight league games so far.
Forest were also knocked out of the League Cup by Leeds earlier in the season, and if they continue to drop points, the manager will inevitably come in for some criticism.
However, Brown told Football Insideron 23 October that Glasner cannot be entirely to blame for Nottingham Forest's struggles, as the board have done little to help him.
There is now a growing belief that Forest did not adequately back Glasner during the summer transfer window with the attacking players he needs to succeed at the City Ground.
Delap is being pointed to as an example of Forest's recruitment team getting things wrong, with Glasner not to blame for their current issues as he aims to turn around their form.
