Both the Nuggets and Grizzlies will have to play each other on a later date that is yet to be announced, per NBA Insider Brett Siegel. NBA Communications announced the postponement decision due to the winter storm surging through the country, with part of it hitting Memphis hard.
"Jan. 25, 2026 – The National Basketball Association game scheduled for today between the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum has been postponed due to inclement weather in the Memphis area. The date for the rescheduled game will be announced at a later time."
It is not likely the rescheduled game will take place on Monday, considering Memphis is scheduled to play the Houston Rockets on that day. In fact, it could be a while for the Nuggets and Grizzlies to play the rescheduled contest, as their schedules do not coincide with one another for quite some time. Regardless, it's a situation the league will have to sort out.
The postponement should give Memphis some extra time to prepare for Houston, as the organization aims to snap a two-game losing streak. The Grizzlies have been without Ja Morant due to an elbow injury, and trade rumors continue to circulate around the star point guard.

Meanwhile, the Nuggets are on a two-game winning streak and currently reside in third place in the Western Conference. Denver has played as one of the best teams in the league so far this season. The team hopes that trend continues when they take on the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday.
