The 23-year-old made 36 appearances across Serie A and the Coppa Italia last season, scoring six goals and providing four assists, production that did not go unnoticed.
The midfielder had been tracked by some of the division's biggest clubs, with Juventus , Inter and Milan all credited with interest in recent weeks, making Fiorentina's swoop a notable statement of intent.

It caps a productive spell in the market for the Viola, who have moved quickly on several fronts this window: Radu Dragusin has arrived from Tottenham, Alex Jimenez is set to join from Bournemouth , and the club have pursued reinforcements across the pitch as they prepare for a European campaign under Grosso.
In Atta, they add a young, physically mature midfielder with top-flight pedigree and room to grow, precisely the profile ambitious sides build around.
