Ohio State to add second transfer wide receiver with LSU's Kyle Parker
Ohio State added a commitment from LSU wide receiver Kyle Parker out of the transfer portal on Jan. 16.
He is the second receiver to join the Buckeyes during this offseason window after UTSA's Devin McCuin signed last week.
Parker played for Cortez Hankton, the Buckeyes’ newly hired wide receivers coach , with the Tigers for the past three years.
After a torn triceps tendon sidelined Parker for most of 2024, he emerged as a redshirt sophomore last year to catch 31 passes for 330 yards and four touchdowns.
Parker was lined up mostly in the slot at LSU, spending just over 60% of his snaps inside, according to Pro Football Focus.
The 5-foot-11, 195-pound receiver is a native of Allen, Texas, and was a four-star recruit when he signed with LSU as part of its 2023 class.
While the Buckeyes had never signed a scholarship receiver as a transfer before this cycle, they began 2026 with few options on the roster outside of Jeremiah Smith and Brandon Inniss.
Five scholarship receivers had entered the portal and Carnell Tate declared early for the NFL draft , putting Ohio State in a position to add to the roster at receiver.
