Ohio State offensive lineman Austin Siereveld makes NFL decision
We've had plenty of transfer portal news since Ohio State lost to Miami in the College Football Playoff quarterfinal Cotton Bowl , but we also can't lose sight of the players who have NFL draft decisions to make. We've already heard from potential first-round draft picks Caleb Downs , Arvell Reese , Kayden McDonald , Carnell Tate , and Sonny Styles , and on Wednesday, we also got a decision from starting left tackle Austin Siereveld , who announced that he'll be coming back for another season with the Buckeyes .
Sierveled seemed to come out of nowhere during the last offseason to emerge as Ohio State's best offensive lineman by winning the left tackle spot by a wide margin. He did nothing to show that wasn't warranted during this past season by not allowing a single sack all year.
Getting Siereveld back for next season is huge. He'll be able to anchor things on the offensive line and protect rising redshirt sophomore quarterback Julian Sayin , who will have Jeremiah Smith and Brandon Inniss back in the receivers' room, along with running back Bo Jackson . Now, the OSU staff will just have to look to build the right side of the offensive line that showed plenty of cracks during the postseason if Ohio State has designs on making it further than the 2025 campaign.
We haven't heard from every Ohio State player when it comes to early NFL draft declarations, but as we do, we'll bring the news to you.
