Ohio State offensive lineman Luke Montgomery announces future plans
Luke Montgomery made himself a household name with Buckeye Nation in the 2024 National Championship run. With the Ohio State offensive line decimated by injuries, Montgomery was thrust into a starting role against Texas in the College Football Playoff semifinals and the title game against Notre Dame . He would go on to start every game this season playing both left and right guard.
After three years of service in Columbus, Montgomery had a decision to make. Would he take his chances in the NFL draft or come back for his senior year with the Buckeyes ? A Findley, Ohio native, Montgomery makes it crystal clear that he bleeds Scarlet and Gray. After careful consideration and with a declaration of "Love this place and the people." Luke Montgomery will be back for another year to help solidify a line that will protect Julian Saying and open holes for Bo Jackson . It's huge news for Ohio State.
With only Tegra Tshabola moving on via the transfer portal ( Kentucky ), the rest of the offensive line is expected to return and should be able to improve as a unit after a full year together.
