The New Jersey Devils look to extend their home momentum on Tuesday night as they host the high-flying Edmonton Oilers . While the betting public often gravitates toward Edmonton's star power and marquee brand name, New Jersey enters as a solid home favorite, backed by structured five-on-five play and a dominant top-six attack.
This matchup fits Evan Abrams ' Bet Labs system, "At Home, Quality Opponent, Early Season." Early in the schedule, when visiting contenders are still settling into line combinations and travel routines, disciplined home favorites hold a distinct operational edge. New Jersey benefits from the last change to dictate matchups against Connor McDavid , leaning on familiar home boards at Prudential Center to control game tempo.
Edmonton provides the exact quality opponent profile that inflates road underdog interest, but early-season spots heavily favor structured hosts. Back the Devils on the moneyline to cash in on this proven early-season system.
Best Bet: Devils Moneyline
