Some fans are convinced an Oklahoma player intentionally made a game-changing mistake against Alabama in the College Football Playoff.
Oklahoma jumped out to a 17-0 lead over Alabama before giving up 27 unanswered points. It was a really gut-wrenching loss for the Sooners, especially since they came out firing on all cylinders.
"We had the ability and the opportunities to overcome it all even in just the last several minutes of the game, despite some just incredibly critical mistakes," Oklahoma coach Brent Venables said. "But it just wasn't in the cards for us tonight."
Venables wasn't kidding about Oklahoma having plenty of opportunities to defeat Alabama.
In the second quarter, John Mateer delivered what should've been a touchdown pass to running back Xavier Robinson. However, he was unable to make the catch. On the very next snap, punter Grayson Miller fumbled the snap and had his attempt blocked for a loss of yards.

Fans accuse Grayson Miller of foul play.
"Yup, and he was off all night. Every. Single. Punt. Yet he was amazing the rest of the season. It smells," a fan said.
"39+ states all betting on the same game, at the same time. Things will get dodgy," a second fan commented.
"I said the same thing. He has several horrible punts and is supposedly the best in the country. If I were looking for one player to shave points under the radar the punter would be a great option," a social media user wrote.
"That was the beginning of the end," another fan argued. "People really think Oklahoma threw this game intentionally? Like they make it to the playoff and the coach sits them down and explains they have to lose because Vegas said so?"
Despite all the complaints on social media, we highly doubt Miller intentionally threw away a trip to the Rose Bowl.
Miller had a great 2025 season with the Sooners, averaging 45.8 yards per punt. It's unfortunate that he's dealing with absurd claims after a heartbreaking loss.
As for Alabama, let's just say Kalen DeBoer's squad has a day or two to celebrate before it turns its attention over to Indiana.
