Oklahoma Sooners Roster Tracker 2026

The Oklahoma Sooners made the College Football Playoff in 2025, and they finished the season with an overall record of 10-3 after their first-round CFP exit. Then, the playing season gave way to the offseason in Norman, with head coach Brent Venables and general manager Jim Nagy tasked with putting together a roster that can go even farther in 2026.

In the current era of college football, there are essentially three main ways that you can lose players from your roster. First, every team loses players that have exhausted their collegiate eligibility. These players may go pro, or they may decide that their playing days are over, but they can't play college ball anywhere next season.

Secondly, teams can lose players who forgo the rest of their college eligibility and enter the NFL Draft early. After three college seasons, all players are eligible to take this route. Thirdly, teams lose players to the NCAA's transfer portal. Unlike in previous years, there is only one transfer portal window for 2026, and it ended in mid-January. Players that enter the portal are eligible to play at the new school they choose immediately.

However, there are two main ways that teams can add players to their roster. The first is high school recruiting, signing players onto your roster as true freshmen, and giving them a start to their college careers. The other way to add players is via the transfer portal. Just as you lose players to the portal, you can replace them with new ones and continue building your roster.

With roster construction basically set across the country, the Sooners are no exception. We essentially know what the roster will look like this fall, at least for the most part. Last year, Oklahoma had 111 players on the roster at the beginning of the regular season, and with most of the losing and adding players portion of this offseason already over, it's time to track what OU has gained, and what they've had to replace. We'll be going position-by-position, taking a look at how Oklahoma's new roster is shaping up.

Be sure to check back here throughout the offseason, as we'll be updating this list each time there's new roster moves, up until Week 1 of the 2026 season.
