Ole Miss OL Carius Curne arrested in Arkansas
Ole Miss sophomore offensive lineman Carius Curne – one of the Rebels’ highest-profile transfers in the 2026 class – was arrested in Arkansas on Saturday, according to the Crittendon County Sherrif’s Office records.
According to the sheriff office’s records, Curne, 20, was charged with fleeing, possession of a schedule VI control substance of less than four ounces, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, reckless driving, speeding and improper lane change. He has since been released, per records.
Curne, who is from Hughes, Arkansas, started five games at tackle for LSU as a true freshman last season. He was a consensus four-star recruit and was rated as a four-star transfer and the No. 2 offensive tackle in the transfer portal by 247Sports. He is expected to compete for a starting job on the Rebels’ offensive line in 2026.
“Obviously, it’s a legal matter. We’re still gathering information, so really can’t speak on that," head coach Pete Golding said Monday. "But we’ll let the legal process run its course and see what happens.”
