Saturday's outstanding SEC college football schedule continued into the afternoon with a must-see ranked versus ranked matchup between the Ole Miss Rebels and Florida Gators in the Swamp. Fittingly, the matchup lived up to the hype with plenty of standouts and a few disappointments on both sides of the ball.
Let's dive into our winners and losers from Ole Miss vs Florida, with the Gators putting on an offensive masterpiece on the ground in a blowout victory at The Swamp.
Winner: Jadan Baugh , RB, Florida Gators

Can we please now see the rest of the nation take Gators running back Jadan Baugh more seriously as a Heisman Trophy candidate? Baugh, who entered Saturday with the second-most rushing yards (458) and tied for the most rushing touchdowns (eight) in the nation, added to his totals in a big way. While he wasn't able to replicate his yards-per-carry average (8.5), Baugh eclipsed the 80-yard mark in the first half and eclipsed 100 yards and 3 touchdowns in the first three quarters. Baugh is the best running back in college football and a legitimate Heisman pick. Baugh will head into Week 5 with 12 rushing touchdowns and he's coming off consecutive games with 140-plus rushing yards and three-plus touchdowns.
Loser: Pete Golding, Ole Miss Rebels Head Coach

Pete Golding isn't going to last long in Mississippi after Trinidad Chambliss departs for the NFL. The Ole Miss head coach didn't seem to have his team prepared for this matchup, coming out flat after a monumental victory last Saturday against LSU . Not only did Ole Miss look ill-prepared to play in The Swamp, but Golding's defense allowed over 400 total yards in this one, with the Gators offense rarely even getting into third-down situations. It might be just one game, but we're pretty confident Ole Miss will realize within two years after Chambliss leaves that Golding isn't a head coach.
Winner: Jayden Woods , DL, Florida Gators

Gators edge rusher Jayden Woods, a 247Sports four-star recruit in 2025, showed some nice flashes in his freshman season. He is now blossoming in front of fans' eyes in his first year under defensive coordinator Brad White. Woods was unblockable at times on Saturday, recording 2 tackles for loss and a sack. The sack, which also knocked the football out of Trinidad Chambliss' hands at the Gators' 40-yard line, likely flipped this game in the second half and feels most responsible for a 14-point swing late. Woods is already up to four sacks this season, passing his total from last season.
Loser: JT Lindsey, RB, Ole Miss Rebels

Running the football was always going to be a problem for Ole Miss with Kewan Lacy out. Expectations were moderate for Makhi Frazier and JT Lindsey, in part because the Gators defense would still be focused on trying to contain Mississippi's passing attack. Unfortunately for Chambliss, this entire game was put on his shoulders because he received minimal support from his running backs. Lindsey's longest run went for 7 yards, with the rest of his 10 carries mustering just 24 yards.
Winner: Buster Faulkner, Florida Gators Offensive Coordinator

A pure coaching clinic from Gators offensive coordinator Jadan Baugh. He didn't need quarterback Aaron Philo to do much in this game, not when Florida could run the football like it was facing an FCS team. Gators' running backs Jadan Baugh and Duke Clark each eclipsed the 100-yard mark on Saturday, individually running for more yards than the Rebels' entire offense had. Speaking of offenses, this level of dominance on the ground made a 50-burger with over 450 total yards of offense and a third-down conversion rate over 50 percent look easy. Just a phenomenal coaching job by Faulkner.
