One glaring strength from Wisconsin's projected starting lineup

Longtime Wisconsin Badgers men's basketball coach Greg Gard has again put together a team that should thrive from long range.

After adding Miami (Ohio) wing Eian Elmer , the Badgers' projected starting lineup consists of five players who have tremendous 3-point percentages. Wisconsin is looking at a lineup of Owen Foxwell, Trey Autry , Eian Elmer, Austin Rapp and Nolan Winter .

CBS Sports national college basketball writer Isaac Trotter highlighted just how good those five have been from distance. Last year, all five attempted at least three 3-pointers per game; George Washington transfer Autry led the way at 6.4 attempts.

Autry's 38% from distance is the second-best among this starting rotation. The only player he trails is Elmer, who shot 43% on 4.9 attempts a season ago. Wisconsin's incoming freshman point guard, Foxwell, shot 35% on 3.8 attempts.

Badger fans are no strangers to Rapp or Winter, and it's not like either has been afraid to throw up a 3-pointer. In the 2025-26 season, Rapp shot 36% on 5.3 attempts per game while Winter was 33% on 3.1 attempts.
