Oregon Ducks' EDGE Teitum Tuioti set to return for 2026 season
Dan Lanning has changed countless aspects of the Oregon Ducks since his arrival a few years back, but the thing he takes the most pride in is the culture they’ve built. One of the players who most embodies the identity of the team is junior outside linebacker Teitum Tuioti.
He came to Eugene as a relatively unknown three-star edge rusher, and has worked tirelessly each year here to turn himself into an impact prospect. There was some uncertainty about whether he would return to the Ducks or not, but now we know that he’ll be coming back for a fourth season.
Tuioti was projected to be selected in the NFL Draft as a later-round pick, but he will get some extra seasoning in college to try and improve his stock. Oregon is also coming off an emotional blowout loss at the hands of the Indiana Hoosiers , so it’s plausible that he would like another crack at winning a national championship after coming so close this season.
Perhaps it didn’t factor into his decision to stay with the Ducks much, but Tuioti’s choice to return speaks to the culture he’s helped forge. It would have been easy to move on after such a difficult loss, but he decided to come back and do it all over again. The team may not have broken through yet, but it feels like an elite, stable program is being built.
