Oregon Ducks land commitment from Yale OT Michael Bennett
Sunday was an incredibly busy day for the Oregon Ducks , with one transfer addition, three NFL non-declarations, and 10 outgoing transfers from current players.
So far, Monday morning is doing a good job of keeping pace.
Not long after the announced transfer from former Nebraska Cornhuskers QB Dylan Raiola to Oregon, the Ducks also picked up a commitment from former Yale Bulldogs OT Michael Bennett. A redshirt senior, Bennett comes to Eugene with one year of eligibility remaining, looking to boost his NFL stock before jumping to the next level.
At 6-foot-5, 310 pounds, Bennett is a solid addition to the Oregon offensive line, which is losing both starting tackles after this season, with Isaiah World and Alex Harkey out of eligibility. Bennett will come in and compete with the likes of Fox Crader, Gernorris Wilson, Ziyarre Addison, and Immanuel Iheanacho for a starting spot in Eugene.
Bennett has 28 starts and has played more than 2,000 snaps at right tackle over the past three seasons at Yale, while earning All-Ivy First Team honors in back-to-back seasons and being a three-time All-Ivy selection.
