Oregon Ducks safety Dillon Thieneman predicts 40-yard dash time
Going into the 2026 NFL Combine, Oregon Ducks safety Dillon Thieneman is one of the players who has a lot to gain from a strong performance. As one of the top safeties in the draft class, there are a lot of eyes on Thieneman, but he's going to need to put up some good numbers to cement himself in the first-round discussion going into April.
If you ask Thieneman, those strong numbers are going to come.
On Thursday, during his media interviews, Thieneman predicted that he was going to turn some heads in the 40-yard dash, stating that he is aiming to run a 4.3. This would be blazing fast, particularly at his position. A year ago, the fastest safety was Kansas State 's Marques Sigle , who ran a 4.37. There were only 22 total players a year ago who ran faster than a 4.4.
Throughout his time in Eugene, Thieneman has shown his speed and quickness. He racked up 96 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one sack, and two interceptions.
Thieneman will take the field on Friday afternoon for his on-field workouts at Lucas Oil Stadium. The action will be aired live on NFL Network starting at noon, PT.
