Oregon safety Dillon Thieneman declares for 2026 NFL Draft
After one season with the Oregon Ducks , safety Dillon Thieneman is off to NFL as he announced his decision to declare for the 2026 NFL Draft.
Thieneman transferred to Oregon after two standout seasons at Purdue, in which he was named a third team All-American as a freshman and totaled 210 tackles, two forced fumbles and six interceptions during his time as a Boilermaker.
He then entered the transfer portal at the conclusion of the 2024 season, soon landing with the Ducks .
He was immediately one of the top performers on the Oregon defense, fitting in well as a versatile safety in defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi 's scheme. Thieneman has been deployed as a deep safety and near the line of scrimmage, collecting 96 total tackles, five passes defensed, a sack and two interceptions.
The 6-foot, 205-pounder earned an AP second-team All-American nod for his efforts in 2025 with the Ducks , continuing to establish himself as one of the top safeties in college football and bolstering his draft stock along the way.
Now, he's entered his name into the 2026 draft class, where he appears to be a sure-fire Day 2 pick if not finding his way into the first round.
