The Indiana Pacers listed six players as questionable and four as out for Wednesday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies . Tip-off in Memphis is 8 p.m. ET.
Kelly Oubre Jr. (left calf contusion), Obi Toppin (lumbar strain), and Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain) are questionable with injuries. Braden Smith, Kobe Brown, and Jalen Slawson carry questionable tags with the G League two-way designation.
Tyrese Haliburton (left hamstring strain), T.J. McConnell (right hamstring strain), Ben Sheppard (left meniscus surgery), and Johnny Furphy (right ACL repair) are out.
Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard, Aaron Nesmith, and Larry Nance Jr. are not on the report. None of the four played Monday night, when Indiana used six players in a 108-104 home loss to the Atlanta Hawks .
Siakam sat Monday for rest, the second half of a back-to-back. Nembhard was listed with cervical injury management, Nesmith with left hamstring injury management, and Nance with an illness.
Oubre, Toppin, and Zubac Are Questionable
Oubre was a late scratch Monday. Pacers coach Rick Carlisle said afterward that Oubre was unable to play at the last minute, which he thought was due to a bruised knee. The official box score listed Oubre as a coach's decision.
A night earlier, Oubre scored 11 points on 3-of-8 shooting against the Brooklyn Nets. He made two 3-pointers.
Toppin's back went out before shootaround Oct. 30 in Miami , and he was scratched hours later. Monday's box score also listed him as a coach's decision.
The No. 8 pick in the 2020 draft, Toppin came to Indiana from the New York Knicks in a 2023 trade. He had 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists off the bench in the Oct. 25 win at Brooklyn.
Zubac sprained his left ankle in that same game. The Oct. 30 loss in Miami was his third straight missed game, and he did not dress Monday.
Jay Huff started in Zubac's place at Milwaukee on Oct. 26 and again Monday. Against Atlanta, Huff scored 22 points with 8 rebounds and 2 blocks in 40:06.
Smith, Brown, and Slawson Hold Two-Way Contracts
Smith, Brown, and Slawson fill Indiana's three two-way spots. Players on two-way deals can be with the NBA team for up to 50 games.
All three played at least 37 minutes Monday. They combined for 47 points in 120:43.
Smith played 42:13 in his first career start and finished with 19 points and 10 assists. He left with 58.7 seconds remaining, and Carlisle said afterward it was a cramp, not a pulled muscle or a strain as far as he knew.
Brown scored 16 points with 6 rebounds. Slawson had 12 points, 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks.
Haliburton and McConnell Remain Out
Haliburton has a mild left hamstring strain and is week-to-week. As of Oct. 31, the team's next update was due in about two weeks.
He had played four games this season after missing all of 2025-26. A Nov. 1 Roundtable piece looked at three players Indiana could add while he is out.
McConnell is out with a right hamstring strain. Sheppard was scheduled for surgery on a torn meniscus Oct. 28, and Furphy is recovering from a right ACL repair.
Memphis is 6-1. The Grizzlies won their first six games and lost 135-134 to the New Orleans Pelicans at home Monday.
Indiana is 2-6 and has lost five straight. After Memphis, the Pacers host the Denver Nuggets on Saturday at 5 p.m. ET.
